Summit Roofing started in 2007 when Francisco Rodriguez — a roofer who learned his trade in the DFW suburbs — decided Dallas deserved a roofing company that would still be here after the storm passed. He had watched fly-by-night crews roll into town after every spring hailstorm, collect insurance checks, and disappear before the first leak appeared at the next heavy rain. He swore Summit would be different: local, accountable, and built on craftsmanship designed to outlast the next severe thunderstorm and the one after it.
Seventeen years later, Summit has replaced or repaired over 3,800 roofs across Dallas, Collin, Denton, and Tarrant counties. Our team includes Jennifer Cole, a former insurance carrier adjuster who has recovered more than $28 million for Summit customers since 2018. Thomas Wright, our lead inspector, holds an FAA Part 107 drone license and thermal imaging credentials — he has caught hidden deck rot and ice-dam intrusion that a ladder and binoculars would have missed entirely. Marcus Webb leads metal and commercial roofing with Metal Roofing Alliance certification and 600,000 square feet of standing seam installed. We are a GAF Master Elite Contractor — a designation held by only 3% of roofing companies nationwide — which means the warranty coverage we offer is not available from standard contractors.
North Texas produces some of the most destructive hailstorms in the United States. We are not storm chasers from out of state. Our trucks are parked in the same DFW neighborhoods we roof, our crews live in Plano and Garland and Lakewood, and Francisco walks every finished roof himself before we close a job. When the next cell rolls through at midnight, you will not be searching for our number — because we already answered it.
